THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC WAS IMPACTFUL TO EVERYONE IN THE WAY IT HAS TAUGHT US TO BE VIGILANT. With every passing week, there is a new variant on the COVID virus so it would appear we are not completely out of the woods just yet. Traveling has completely changed: new concerns have developed, and different decision-making criteria have evolved which naturally cause us to want to make sure that our destination city is open and safe and that our accommodations are conducive to maintaining our good health. The purpose of this letter is to update you on the current state of affairs in Rancho Mirage and what you can expect from your upcoming stay with Greenday Vacation Rentals as they relate to the pandemic.
THE CITY OF RANCHO MIRAGE…With an average age of 65, the city and residents of Rancho Mirage took its response to the pandemic very seriously. By quickly adopting a whole host of social distancing measures and strictly enforcing PPE requirements throughout the city; now Rancho Mirage has the highest fully vaccinated rate of all cities in Southern California at 98.7% as of September 1st, 2021.
Rancho Mirage is currently open and operating “business as usual” while keeping social distancing rules and PPE requirements in place for those that are un-vaccinated. Additionally, a whole host of services are available offering home delivery and pick-up for restaurants, grocery stores, and non-essential retail stores. The parks, hiking trails, biking, and jogging trails are all in use, and pools, golf courses, tennis, and pickleball courts are open as well. Wearing a mask in public is only required in California if you are not vaccinated; although many continue to wear masks as the newer variants enter our collective pandemic lexicon.
MISSION HILLS COUNTRY CLUB…Mission Hills is fully open and operational, including all pools, golf courses, tennis, and pickleball courts. Best of all, Mission Hills is naturally spread out so physically distancing yourself from others is easy, so you don’t have to “socially” distance yourself. People are out walking, biking, swimming, and enjoying life in the gorgeously spacious grounds of Mission Hills.
GREENDAY VACATION RENTALS…One thing that has not changed is Greenday Vacation Rental’s commitment to the comfort and safety of our guests. Greenday has made several strategic investments, instituted enhanced safety measures, and elevated our already high standards of cleanliness. Our goal is your absolute confidence in a safe, clean, and comfortable vacation rental.
CHECK-IN PROCESS: A few weeks before arrival, you will receive an email that is full of information needed to make the day of arrival as easy as possible. This includes directions to the rental property, security gate and parking instructions, and a personal access code for the garage door and the rental property’s smart lock. You will be greeted by a vaccinated Greenday Manager who will help you with your luggage, give you a thorough tour of the property, and answer all your questions.
VILLA TABLETS: Besides the impeccably clean, disinfected, and sanitized interior of your rental home, you will notice a small tablet computer that has been programmed specifically for your property. After “checking-In”, this device serves as a great source of information about your rental home’s WIFI system, media center, kitchen appliances, available amenities, and the surrounding points of interest both inside and outside of Mission Hills. The “Chat” feature on the tablet allows for real-time communication with a Greenday Manager. You simply type in a question or comment and the Greenday Manager on duty receives the message directly on their phone and can respond to you immediately.
CLEANING, DISINFECTING, + SANITIZING: When it comes to cleanliness and guest satisfaction, Greenday has always been an industry leader. With the “new normal” we’ve raised our standards and have implemented the stricter guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. Rest assured that when you arrive, not only has the property been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, but every surface has been sanitized. All Greenday housekeepers wear personal protective gear including face masks and disposable gloves, so there has been no direct human contact with any of the linens, towels, appliances, and cleaning tools. Due to these enhanced cleaning procedures, Greenday has added a $50 fee to accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests. If you need either, please let us know as soon as possible.
AMENITIES FOR YOUR SAFETY: Disposable face masks and sanitizing agents are stocked in every property for your use.
TRAVELERS INSURANCE: Greenday strongly recommends acquiring travelers’ insurance for your upcoming trip.
